________________________________________________________________________________ In November 2004 SHE (Soulful House Experience) was born, launching to a sell-out Le Panic Nightclub in Sydney, and receiving praise from all of Sydney’s press and scene-makers. SHE has quickly established itself as the top Soulful House night in Australia, with guest appearances from GROOVE JUNKIES, RICHARD EARNSHAW, DJ JORJ, KARIZMA, CHUCK LOVE, BOBBY & STEVE, SAMBA LA CASA & SOUL CENTRAL.
By mid-2005 SHE had clearly outgrown it’s Le Panic home and moved into a series of dates at well-established Sydney venue Yu. The debut event attracting a 1100-strong capacity crowd for headline artist, ANDY WARD (SOUL CENTRAL, SOUL HEAVEN WORLDWIDE). The 2006 summer saw SHE branch out into a series of unique events - including an invitation-only rooftop party high in the clouds above Sydney's central district...the sell-out party featuring a return performance from Soul Central. The SHE Summer Boat party in February 2006 featured Bobby & Steve (Garage City, Zoo Groove Stereo) and Chuck Love (Om USA)...the breathtaking party was hailed as one of the best seen on Sydney's harbour. The 06/07 SHE summer series kept the SHE dancefloors rocking as sell out crowds saw headliners Soul Central, Paul Farris, Matt Caselli & Richard Earnshaw. SHE residents Graham Cordery, Liam Sampras, Nick Vidal & Dave 54 proudly hold the soulful flag for Australia at this party which has drawn comparisons with legendary names such as Studio 54 (New York) and Soul Heaven (London). The 2007 season saw SHE continue to bring the best in the world of Soulful House direct to Sydney, with artists such as Dj Spen, Robert Owens, Marshall Jefferson, Jay J and The Groove Junkies. 2007 finished in style with New Years Eve and Day parties featuring Nicky Siano (Studio 54), Joey Negro (Z Records UK), Matt Caseli (Pacha Ibiza) and Chicago's own Ron Carroll.
2008 looks to be the biggest year yet for SHE with the launch of the 'SHE Recordings' Record label, which will feature orignal tracks from some of the headline acts that have appeared at SHE over the years, plus original material form Australian based producers. A compilation CD is also in the pipeline for later this year. The regular monthly SHE parties will of course continue in Sydney's most stylish venues and unique party locations. SHE also has a new weekly venture ('hush') which recently launched at Trademark in Kings Cross - and is also raising the bar with some very special larger capacity events on public holidays. First up is the international triple bill for the Easter Long Weekend special at The Argyle, followed by the Queens Birthday weekend at The Loft and many more throughout the year. SHE regularly goes on the road around Australia with club events in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Cairns - plus Internationally SHE are also currently putting together dates for a SHE club tour of Asia and UK later this year. _______________________________________________________________________________ |
